Plans have long been afoot to feature the silverest of Silver Foxes here. Why? Because he can host New Year’s Eve with Kathy Griffin and be catty and sasstastic. And because he can go to New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina and to Haiti after the earthquake and not only do the important work of telling the world what is happening, but also show himself to be a completely decent human being. And, somehow, both sides feel completely authentic.
